The cry for help we aren't hearing

Thank you to all who came out on Sunday night.  I am so touched when people sacrifice their sleep to come out and party with us!  Souljah Fyah Sundays help me to start the week with a sense of purpose.

I heard last week that Alberta has 4000 suicides a year.  Suicide is consistently a leading cause of death for Albertans.   For some facts, see:   Alberta Health Services 

What do you think we can do to SEE this problem and DO something about it?  Please no comments that call into question the moral nature of such a decision.  I am genuinely interested in how we can HELP.

We Are Here!

I am feeling totally breathless today - as it hits me just how MUCH I got out of the WCMA weekend.  The mentor sessions blew my mind.  We are on FYAH!!  I figure if I slowly but surely make my way through the massive amount of knowledge that was so generously passed to Tootall and I this weekend, there is no way we cannot succeed.  Succeed at what?  Spreading the message of LOVE and UNITY and STRENGTH and COMMUNITY and PROTEST and TRANSITION and BEAUTY to the WORLD!!!  OK I know that all caps means yelling, but I feel like shouting it from the rooftops!  Like the ones on the clover.... WE ARE HERE WE ARE HERE WE ARE HERE!!!   We are those with voices who will sing for the voiceless.  We are those with light who will shine in the darkness.  We are those with vision who will see for those who cannot.  We.  Are.  Here.
